Homies Organizing the Mission to Empower Youth is seeking 15 committed participants interested in learning work related skills and want to make a change in their lives. HOMEY’s IMPACT Program is designed to teach work readiness skills, inspire character development, and positive life skills, to youth and young adults ages 16 to 30. While at HOMEY, participants go through a 10-week course that focuses on: work preparation, communication, life management, goal setting, positive decision-making, interviewing, and other skills.
What Would I Be Doing in the IMPACT Program?
  • You will gain basic work related skills for employment. We will provide instruction and support to assist you with                             the skills you need to become employed.
  • Through HOMEY you will grow as a leader in your community while learning life skills.
  • You will meet other participants that are interested in change and empowerment.
  • To ensure nourishment of the body and soul, we will give thanks and provide light refreshments.
  • Based on your attendance and commitment will be able to get a small paid incentive of $200 and other opportunities.
  • We are dedicated to helping you with criminal justice and other issues that may arise.
Applicants Eligibility:
1. Reentry from incarceration/jail in the past two years, or
2. Be on probation/parole, or
3. You feel at-risk of incarceration and/or contact with police/criminal justice system.
4. Must be between the ages of 16 to 30 years of age, a resident of/or ties to San Francisco.
5. Must be ready to change your life and break the cycle of violence/incarceration.
