California Youth Connection (CYC) is a youth led organization of current and former foster youth, ages 14-24, that develops leaders who empower each other and their communities to transform the foster care system through legislative and policy change.

California Youth Connection believes that youth who have been in the system are experts on the system and contribute valuable information and knowledge to make the system work better for all youth and their families. CYC is an opportunity to use your experiences to make change and build your professional skills, particularly in working on team projects and project planning, facilitation and public speaking, networking with the potential to apply for internship and consultant opportunities.

To get involved, connect with a chapter in your area. Chapters meet in San Francisco at 170 Otis St, in Oakland at ILSP, in Belmont at the county building on Harbor Blvd, in San Jose at the Hub. Information about meeting times and additional information available by contacting California Youth Connection’s statewide office.
