The Youth Employed for Success (YES!) program is funded by the Department of Children, Youth  and their Families (DCYF) is a collaboration between SF Independent Living Skills Programs and JVS; JVS is the sub-contractor in this grant providing curriculum, facilitating the workshops and internship placements. Youth complete at least 20 hours of classroom/workshops with a focus on a combination of the following topics: Job Readiness, Interview Preparation, Financial Literacy, Communication and Goal Setting. Upon completion of the 5 weeks of workshops, youth will be placed  in an internship where they can work at the minimum of 10 hours a week for at least 10 weeks

Eligibility:

Current and former Foster Care Youth ages 16-20 with an out of home placement by age 16

Mandatory Orientation:

Mandatory Orientation will take place January 22nd at 4:00pm at 30 Harriet Street at the SF ILSP Center

Workshops will take place Tuesdays and Thursdays 4-6 pm at 30 Harriet Street- SF ILSP Center.

Internships:

Youth will work a minimum of 10 hours a week until youth achieve a stipend max of $1,400 dollars.
