Homeless Youth Alliance: Drop-in Center

Provides food, bathrooms, phones, and computers with internet access. Helps clients address other basic needs, including getting identification.  Case management also available.  Mental health counseling also provided through an on-site psychologist. HYA also provides street-outreach services and weekly workshops on physical and mental health.

Third Street Youth Center and Clinic: Health Clinic

The clinic provides comprehensive healthcare including primary care and sexual and reproductive health. They offer physicals, free condoms, birth control, pregnancy tests and HIV testing. They also provide individual and family therapy, therapeutic case management, support groups, as well as leadership and social activities.

California Youth Crisis Line

California Coalition for Youth offers support, encouragement, and referrals to youth needing assistance or in crisis situations. The California Youth Crisis Line connects an average of 12,000 callers with vital resources annually.

Larkin Street Youth Services: Castro Youth Housing Initiative

This program provides scattered-site housing for homeless LGBTQ youth. In addition to housing, the two-year program include case management, life skills training, referrals for mental health and/or substance abuse counseling, and access to LSYS’s full continuum including educational support and employment training.
