If you want to learn how to maintain community gardens, motivated to learn new skills and positively impact the community, then apply to the BEETS Internship!

BEETS interns:
  • Maintain community and school gardens in the Western Addition
  • Learn critical job skills (resume/cover letter writing, job search, interviewing, etc.)
  • Assist our elementary school garden classes
  • Attend field trips and educational opportunities
  • Earn ~$800/session

Eligibility:

  • 15-19 years of age on June 10, 2014
  • Living in San Francisco (priority given to those living in the Western Addition)
  • Interested in gaining experience in basic horticulture, environmental education, and basic job skills
  • Able to commit to the entire summer 2014 session: June 10-May 1, 2014
  • Available: Tuesday and Thursday 12pm-3pm and 1-2 Saturdays/Month (Additional hours weekday afternoons as scheduled)
