Health Core is a 10 – week program for youth ages 17-24. Participants will learn about serious Health topics such as diabetes, hypertension, trauma, reproductive health that affect their community and more. The program will also provide opportunities to learn more about a wide variety of health careers from social-work to being a registered nurse. Through our partnership with community colleges and community-based organizations, applicants will receive assistance applying to the health education departments. Youth may also earn credits while attending the program. Program participants will be a paid stipend. *Qualifications: Must be able to commit to a 10-week program at 8 hours/week; must be 17-24 years of age; must have strong interest in the health care field; no high school diploma needed.
