Women At The Forefront is partnership between the Center for Young Women’s Development, the Women’s Community Clinic & ACCESS Women’s Health Justice.
It is a 12-week policy training that provides young women with the skills, tools and knowledge to engage in effective, successful advocacy for themselves and in their communities. The training builds skills in advocacy and community organizing. Participants will raise their awareness and reduce stigma about the issues and barriers young women face as well as get and give support amongst peers and adults.

This will be a space for gathering information, providing training’s and resources and creating policy recommendations for marginalized girls/young women in San Francisco.
Participants gain leadership skills, an understanding of policy, awareness of the connection between individual experiences and the larger social context; opportunities to participate in advocacy activities (local and statewide convening and other travel); and a better sense of self.
