The DJ Project Event Production program is designed to promote and apply youth development and leadership principles that train youth in leading the design, development, and implementation of large-scale, community wide events, campaigns, forums, etc. Youth will be trained in environmental prevention strategies, event production, project management and administration, and marketing; and apply these skills to lead and host events focused on increasing the community’s awareness of important issues facing students today. Youth are also responsible for handling the media relations’ responsibilities of the program, write press releases, organize street teams, and conduct outreach and student recruitment for our prevention programming.
