The San Francisco Youth Employment Coalition (SF YEC) is a membership agency with a mission to build city-wide relationships, maximize community resources, and advocate for the employment and retention of youth.
SF YEC is now accepting applications for part-time Communications intern.
Qualifications
- Ability to use Microsoft Word
- Strong writing skills
- Ability to use professional language in correspondence with external organizations
- Proficient with social media including Facebook and Twitter
- Works independently
- Can follow instructions well
- Attention to detail
Responsibilities and Duties
- In charge of producing monthly newsletter to be distributed by email to nearly 200 members
- Send meeting reminders every other month to YEC Members
- Assist in creation of YEC Listserv
- Responsible for assisting in the organizing of quarterly YEC Advisory Board Meetings
- Assist YEC Leadership Team with organizing One City Conference and periodic trainings
- Maintain YEC main website, Twitter, and Facebook by posting relevant and time sensitive content
Scheduling and Compensation
Intern will work 10 hours per month, so total days/hours per week will vary, depending on the intern’s schedule. The hours will be scheduled with the supervisor and be completed between Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.
Paid stipend of $100 every 10 hours of work per month. Minimum $500 stipend with the potential to earn more.
