Are you a 207youth who enjoys working outdoors, working with kids, and motivated to learn new job skills? The BEETS program is hiring for fall interns!  This internship will allow youth to learn how to grow healthy food, work with a diverse group of teens and positively impact the community.

               BEETS interns:

  • Maintain community and school gardens in the Western Addition
  • Learn critical job skills (resume/cover letter writing, job search, interviewing, etc.)
  • Assist our elementary school garden classes
  • Attend field trips and educational opportunities
  • Earn ~$800/session (depending on hours worked)

Eligibility:

  • 15-19 years of age
  • Living in San Francisco (priority given to those living in the Western Addition)
  • Interested in gaining experience in basic horticulture, environmental education, and basic job skills
  • Able to commit to the entire ​Fall 201​5​ session: 
  • Available: Tuesday and Thursday 12:30-3:30pm 1 Additional weekday 1-2 Saturdays/month
  • ​Legally employable in the U.S. ​
