UCSF and the UCSF Medical Center are launching Cycle 10 of the EXCEL Program.

Candidates who are highly motivated to participate in a clerical/administrative training program aimed at providing the skills necessary to gain entry-level employment in the field, are strongly encouraged to apply.

EXCEL provides the following:

• 10 weeks of classroom training: Basic computer skills, office skills, job search skills provided by JVS

• 4 month paid internship: 32 hour/week paid internship at UCSF

• Ongoing internship support throughout the duration of the program

• Post internship job placement assistance

Qualified applicants will be San Francisco residents 18 years or older, proficient in English, possess a high school diploma/GED, and must pass a basic skills assessment, background check and be eligible for the Jobs Now wage subsidy program. EXCEL operates as a component of the San Francisco Healthcare Academy, a project led by JVS to coordinate the City’s Healthcare-related workforce development programs.
