OEWD and Facility Merchandising now accepting applications from young adults for one-hundred or so San Francisco America’s Cup cashier and sales jobs

The San Francisco Office of Economic and Workforce Development (OEWD) and Facility Merchandising are now accepting applications from young adults for nearly 100 cashier, merchandising, and retail sales jobs during America’s Cup. Claudia Mendez spent many of her high school days fighting her mom in a court room. At age 16, San Francisco placed Claudia into a foster home. Even in a bad situation, Claudia realized that she was able to advocate for herself. S.F. Dep’t of Public Health now accepting applications from 18-24 year-olds for paid four-part “Healing From Community Violence” workshop

The San Francisco Department of Public Health developed the “Healing From Violence Workshop” specifically for youth 18-24 year-olds who have been impacted by community violence. The overall goal of this workshop is for youth to learn new skills and tools to heal from community violence. San Francisco’s youth workforce program, Jewish Vocational Service‘s Healthcare Bridge Program (HCB) is a yearlong academic program providing 17 – 21 year olds with targeted career guidance, academic support, postsecondary education preparation, and paid internships in the healthcare field.
